Each year, our media programme offers New Zealand journalists the chance to travel to Asia to research and prepare stories.
We also support media staff exchanges, internships and work placements within a variety of Asian media outlets.

Internships for young journalists in three prestigious Asia-based media organisations.

The Kiwi Asian Scholarship is designed to encourage greater representation of Asian communities in mainstream New Zealand journalism.
► Media travel and discretionary grants
Media Travel Grants are awarded to support specific projects during three grant rounds each year.
There are no set dates for Media Discretionary Grants, and projects will be judged on merit.
► ACICIS Journalism Practicum
Asia:NZ offers grants to support New Zealand journalism graduates to attend the six-week ACICIS Journalism Professional Practicum Programme in Jakarta.
► Asian Journalism Fellowship
A new opportunity at AUT's Pacific Media Centre, the scholarship was established with a grant from Asia:NZ's media programme.
