PAAN events and opportunities

Principals who are part of the Principals Asia Aware Network (PAAN) are given priority access to a number of professional development opportunities each year. These include professional development opportunities in our key regions in New Zealand and overseas opportunities.

Regional meetings

There is one meeting remaining in the first round:

Dunedin - Thursday May 24

Time: 11am-1.30pm (lunch included)
Venue: Otago Golf Club, 125 Balmacewen Road, Maori Hill, Dunedin

August/September meetings

The second round of meetings will be held in August and September. Venues for these meetings will be added when confirmed. Lunch will be included in all but the Tauranga meeting.

Occam cross-cultural trainer Amy Adams, who spoke at the March PAAN meetings in Auckland and Wellington, will be speaking on the topic of "China today: Knowledge, skills and competences our young New Zealanders need to connect with China" at the following meetings.

  • Tauranga: Thursday 30 August, 7.15am-8.45am (breakfast included)
  • Dunedin: Tuesday 4 September, 11am-1.30pm
  • Christchurch: Wednesday 5 September, 12pm-3pm

The format of the remaining meetings will be advised closer to the time.

  • Wellington: Tuesday 28 August, 11am-1.30pm
  • Auckland (North Shore): Tuesday 11  September, 12pm-3pm
  • Auckland (Central): Wednesday 12 of September, 12pm-3pm.

Current opportunities

We're currently taking registrations for the Asia Aware Principals Symposium, which will be held in Melbourne after the trans-Tasman principals conference.
