This Australian website offers a range of Japanese language resources. The most useful for New Zealand learners and teachers are:
- Nihongo - portal site linking to a range of sites and online resources for Japanese learners
- Japanese in Anime and Manga - learn Japanese expressions in anime and manga

Hăo! – An Introduction to Modern Standard Chinese
This resource, suitable for Year 7-8 students with no previous knowledge of Chinese comprises an introductory unit and 20 hours of work and is designed to run for 20 weeks with three half-hour lessons a week. A classroom teacher with no knowledge of Chinese can teach the programme.
The resource includes:
- Teacher’s guide and classroom support materials, including transcripts of the CD audio and video.
- A double audio CD
- A video introducing the language.
You can access this resource online:

- Type "Hao introduction" into the search box – this will bring up the introductory unit and the teacher guide.
Hai! – An Introduction to Japanese
