Hosted by the NZ International Business Forum, the event takes place on Thursday 3 December. Prime Minister Key will discuss the major challenges facing the region.

New Zealand signs a Free Trade Agreement with Malaysia which promises to deepen ties with our eight largest trading partner and export market worth over $1 billion.

Leaders from prominent Japanese and New Zealand companies met alongside senior government officials and leading academics in Tokyo on 30 October.

• NEW: Report on doing business in South Korea launched in Wellington

Event attracted influential voices in New Zealand business and government, as well as a number of Korean officials based in New Zealand.

• Young Leader Sukhdeep Johal at the Go Global Conference

The Auckland business conference took place on 30 September and included a range of high-profile speakers focussing on the optimum tactics for New Zealand exporters.

• Melissa Wong on a fruitful internship in Taipei

The young leader delivered a presentation to a group of young leaders and business people on her internship at the highly respected ITRI. The presentation took place in Auckland on 29 September.

• "Think Japan" seminar in Auckland

The Japan Business Council, with support from Asia:NZ and the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), held a seminar in Auckland on 3rd August on the potential of the Japanese market for innovative New Zealand companies.

• Japan Festival breakfast meeting

Took place on 10 July in Wellington Town Hall Auditorium. Presentations focused on environmentally sustainable business opportunities
