Ian Llewellyn of the NZPA travelled to Beijing with the support of the Asia New Zealand Foundation to report on the China-New Zealand FTA. Here is his first-hand account of the experience, which included a brief setback caused by what may have been an exercise in media censorship and an entertaining moment trying to squeeze past the somewhat intimidating honorary guard at the official signing.
