Asia:NZ and Excelerator: New Zealand Leadership Institute have joined forces to bring you a series of World Café forums across New Zealand during New Zealand Leadership Week.

Come along to our Auckland world café style conversations to chat about, argue over and consider the key leadership challenges that New Zealand is facing. Join us in generating new ideas and sparks as you move around the room and contribute to the buzz of different conversations. Share different ways that you, your communities, organisations and networks are meeting these challenges. Hear from current leaders about how they think New Zealand is shaping up to face those future challenges.

Keynote speaker: Ray Avery

Ray is the Founder and Chief Executive of Medicine Mondiale, an independent development agency dedicated to developing remarkable medical solutions that are transforming the lives of the world's poor. Ray's inventions include: the design and commissioning of two intraocular lens laboratories which reduced the cost of a lens to US$6 making cataract surgery affordable and available for the world's poorest and Proteinforte, a food product that contains freeze dried meat and fruit pulp to deliver a pre-digested protein and energy boost to children in developing countries. Ray is a charismatic Kiwi who does not accept social inequity and is dedicated to using science to make a difference. He is a pharmaceutical scientist, inventor, entrepreneur and humanitarian rolled into one. Ray Avery is Patron of the Non Resident Nepali Association of New Zealand a position previously held by Sir Edmond Hillary.
