Acclaimed Chinese counter-tenor Xiao Ma will sing Vivaldi, Handel and other Baroque composers, accompanied by an instrumental ensemble led by Gregory Squire.
The concert, jointly presented by the Confucius Institute and Music at St Mary of the Angels, is part of a New Zealand performance tour featuring Xiao Ma.
Xiao Ma’s visit to New Zealand is supported by the Confucius Institute at Victoria University of Wellington, Asia:NZ Foundation, the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Embassy, to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between New Zealand and China.
