Touted as the next big thing in Chinese rock, Omnipotent Youth Society will make its New Zealand debut at the Lantern Festivals, and will also be giving a one-off performance at the San Francisco Bathhouse in Wellington.
Omnipotent Youth Society plays to packed houses in Beijing and has won many awards, including Band of the Year at the Chinese Music Media Awards.
The group's lyrics, mostly written by bassist Ji Geng, tackle the social realities of life in China's second-tier cities.
