Sir Ken Stevens, KNZM, Trustee of Asia:NZ
Sir Ken Stevens’ company Glidepath designs, manufactures and installs baggage handling and security systems for airports. Glidepath can count 500 projects in 60 countries in over 37 years of exporting, and has 9 offshore facilities. Government Ministers Trevor Mallard and Phil Goff appointed Ken as Business Champion for Export Year 2007. Sir Ken joined the Export Institute of New Zealand in 1979 (now Export New Zealand), and is currently its Chairman. He is an associate of the American Association of Airport Executives, a World Business Partner of Airports Council International, an Inducted Member of Waitakere City’s “Business Hall of Fame” and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. In celebration of the 2008 New Years Honours, the Queen appointed Ken Stevens a Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit DCNZM, in recognition of his services to exporting.
