Vino Ramayah
Vino Ramayah, Trustee of Asia:NZ
Vino was born in Singapore where he completed his early schooling. He served as a Commissioned Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces during his national service. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Singapore, a Master of Laws from the University of London, a Diploma in Airspace Law, (London School of Economics); and is a qualified solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Singapore. He practiced both corporate and commercial law internationally in several countries and served as a Director of a number of multi-national companies in the Asia Pacific, particularly in the aviation industry.
Vino is currently Chairman of Cereus Holdings Ltd, an investment holding company whose investments in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Europe include health and bio-informatics, bio and information technology. He is Executive Chairman of Medtech Global Ltd. Medtech is a publicly listed company on the ASX. He is also Chairman of Bionova Holdings Ltd, a biotech company involved in tissue engineering based in Melbourne, Australia. He serves as a Director of the National Institute of Health Innovation at Auckland University. Vino was appointed as a Trustee of the Asia New Zealand Foundation in 2002, by the New Zealand Government. He lives in Auckland with his wife and three children.
